If you follow tech news at all, you probably know the U.S. government has been trying to ban DJI drones for what feels like forever. Lawmakers blocked any new models from being approved in the States, but existing drones already on the market are grandfathered in — this means that they’re legal to buy and fly.
Right now, you can get the DJI Mini 3 on Amazon for $315, down from $410. Discounts on DJI drones don’t pop up nearly as often these days (outside of sales events, that is), so saving 25% is a nice win if you’ve been waiting to buy one.
Spec-wise, it shoots crisp 4K HDR video, stays airborne for up to 38 minutes per charge, handles wind pretty well, and shoots true vertical video so you don’t have to crop your footage for social media later. Bonus: It weighs under 249 grams, so you don’t have to register it with the FAA for recreational flying.
